New pics!

These are some of the lovely pics I did with Lisa Snowdon (love her!) a couple of weeks ago for OK! magazine (out in this weeks issue!). All clothes and props are from M&S.
A right Royal tea party fashion shoot... Hope you like!

I ♥ Harvey Nichols window display!

Royal Wedding: Hot or Not

Poor Princess Beatrice received a lot of stick yesterday for her choice of slightly Gaga-esque Philip Treacy hat but I'm going to give her a bit of a boost as controversially I rather liked it! It's brave, bold, totally un-royal but worked with her outfit and the muted shade played down the extremity of it. Good work girl I say!

Victoria Beckham also went for a Philip Treacy hat, a more sober version which I did quite love, with her dark navy dress (to cover the bump) and custom made Louboutins it was stylish if slighly funeral-ish...?

Chelsy Davy looked cute and appropriate I thought - in Alberta Ferretti and a Victoria Grant hat.

And finally to the most tweeted about person on the day of course - Pippa Middleton. I'll say it now, she's totally HOT! All of the men in the room stopped talking when she appeared in her figure hugging Sarah Burton white dress. GREAT BOD LADY! She's definitely the most eligible lady in the land right. My only negative: was her fake tan slightly TOWIE?!

And obvs Kate (Catherine?) looked AMAZING also in Sarah Burton. Apparently copies of the 'Kate' dress will be available (on the high street) Tuesday!!!

Must buy: Zara colour block skirt

Just another item from Zara which IS SO PERFECT FOR THE COLOUR BLOCK TREND.

This floor sweeping skirt is £29.99 and the brightest pink.

My fave colour block item of the season so far.

Recreate the Jil Sander catwalk by pairing with a simple white tee (black or nude are cool to) or vest of if you're brave a clashing bright orange looks amaze.

My new dress

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new maxi dress which was such a bargain at only £39.99 from Zara fyi.

I wear it hiked up a little at the waist - super flattering.

And the length is perfect for this time of year. Wear with little biker ankle boots or cute sandals for day or a wooden wedge/platform for eve...

I shall be wearing it for a selection of the following:

Royal Tea Party tomorrow
Engagement parties (of which we have LOADS coming up)
Birthday bank holiday do's

Kate's dress

Err, yeah, or not.
But... this is what Suzanne Neville, recently voted Top British Bridal Designer reckons it'll look like. Suzanne says...

"This sketchshows some of the features I would incorporate into the final gown. It would be made from the most luxurious Silk Duchesse Satin and the finest European lace, which would reflect off her skin beautifully and flatter her youthful radiance. The cut of the gown would be very important-to show off her figure to the max. Whilst making the gown dramtic and indulgent, I would keep all other embellishment to the minimum and allow the beautiful fabrics in the gown and her tiara to shine through."

Personally I can't wait to see what Kate wears! 2 days to go, my Union Jack bunting is being prepared as I type, cake stand purchased. I'm all set. Eek.

Kate & Will shopping at Harvey Nicks

Ah, isn't that sweet - Will isn't afraid to help Kate out in the lingerie department of Harvey Nichols...

This little scenario was the brainchild of artist Alison Jackson who has joined forces with the store to create a fantasy Royal Wedding Shopping Trip with a twist and a Royal Wedding pop-up shop (open till 3rd May). The shop will be selling commemorative mugs, plates, T-shirts etc and Jackson's own book 'Up The Aisle'.
Check out http://www.youtube.com/user/HarveyNicholsUK for behind the scenes footage.

Boucheron Bridal

I'm only going to talk about wedding/Royal themed things this week because I'm OBSESSED! Bring on Friday I say...

Anyway on Thursday I was lucky enough to be invited to the fabulous Bridal Breakfast hosted by Boucheron at their Bond Street store to view their new collections. Boucheron have been creating the most beautiful pieces since 1858, a number of which now belong to the Royal family. I reckon Kate's totes going to have her eye on the new Quatre pieces (above) which incorporate four distinct styles on a single gold band including a new white ceramic element. My jaw dropped when I saw these babies... there are four different 'white edition' rings to choose from with prices starting from €1900.

Available from May 2011.

(Boyfriend/s, if you're reading, take note!)

I'm loving the bright bandeau and the lace blouse. Good choices lady.

Holiday (in Madonna voice)

It's hot. I don't know about you but right now I'm sat staring at my entire wardrobe thinking I have NOTHING to wear. NOTHING at all. I need a whole new summer/holiday wardrobe.

Thank god, or founder Sarah Walter (who's a bit of a fashion legend...) for the arrival of
Style Passport to our laptops. Like a holiday version of My Wardrobe and Net A Porter it has everything you need for summer or a big holiday/city break/staycation (love that word). You can even shop by the type of holiday you're taking for those who are ridiculously time short. From bikinis and beach bits to beauty... and it's not as unaffordable as you'd think. With the must have thin strap Havaianas from £20, cute Petit Bateau breton stripe tops for under £50 and some beautiful Atelier and Iro pieces which are totally bank balance friendly.

The only danger is that I want (make that NEED) everything. I've put together my ideal holiday shopping list above, all available at www.style-passport.com. Happy summer shopping peeps!

To fascinate or not to fascinate?

I don't like fascinators as a general rule.

(Occasionally a little gem of one crops up that I love, but this is rare. (M&S have a coral coloured net front one which is pretty cool in at the mo while we're on the subject - I used it in a shoot with the lovely Lisa Snowdon last week).)

And I've been told in the past that I don't have a face for hats - I know, charming. But I have approx five weddings to attend this year and my hair's not massively exciting down but I also hate wedding-esque up-do's. Dilemma!

So I've been scouring the shops/sites for a solution and I've found one in Miu Miu shape form which (incredibly) won't break the bank. I'm IN LOVE with their nappa leather headband with pompom and feathers, £135. SO cool/cute/fabulous/amazing/perfect. I think I want the pink but it's also available in red and jade green... available on the new e-store at www.miumiu.com.

Now I just need five dresses......??!

The Royal Wedding!

Is anyone not massively, ridiculously excited about the Royal wedding?!
I can't get enough of it.
And I can't wait to celebrate the big day - with a royal wedding theme tea party, naturally. If you're looking for decor for yours go no further than Selfridges (for posh printed but affordable cardboard cake stands and fab bunting) and M&S (for everything else). Make some teeny tiny sandwiches, ship in the cakes and champagne, et voila. Done.

And to wear? A floral tea dress works for any occasion/style of party and in any weather, then accessorise with some cool but kitsch union jack pieces. Ted Baker have the fab Tiarra oversized clutch which I have massive for! And the Katie scarf is cute too. Who knows, they might be collectable in the future!?

Dior Les Marquises

Hi all, meet my new favourite sunglasses which I will be purchasing as soon as possible.

They're from the new Dior Les Marquises collection - bright, glamorous and sophisticated 'Les Marquises reflect Dior true savoir-faire'. My fave's are the Mohotani (above), a 50s style in red mother or pearl. Great one for the colour blocking trend.

The new collection launches mid-April. But I need them now, today if poss, thanks!
